Bunbury’s Mr Rental Wins Award

Mr Rental Bunbury Franchisee Mick Caddy has taken out the Top Franchisee award, beating large chains including banks and award winning restaurants.

It is the first time a Mr Rental Franchisee has won the award.

The Bunbury business quickly became the fastest growing Mr Rental store in Australia and New Zealand, in the top six sales list since opening four and a half years ago.

Its success has led Mr Caddy to expand his business into Geraldton, with some of the Mr Rental Bunbury team transferring north to open the store mid 2011.

An experienced businessman, Mr Caddy started his first small business, a home decorating company, in the Wheatbelt when he was just 24 because “there were no jobs going”.

“I considered myself unemployable – I had to give myself a job so I would have something to do, so I bought a business.”

Bunbury born – his first proper job was at the local Kentucky Fried Chi-cken – Mr Caddy said he decided to open a Mr Rental store because their franchise model offered great support and a consistent income stream.

Mr Rental offers furniture, home appliances and much more for rental.
